Motivation of addons and plugins
Hi! Today over 200 millions of people use Facebook every day. If you are here then most likely you are one of them. It’s not hard to see that the way Facebook looks today and it’s functionality, usability and design is crappy, and surely can’t satisfy even 70% of the people that use it. Spammy-looking complicated facebook layout, badly smiley-parsing facebook chat, and stuff.. Of course, it’s not as badly designed as MySpace, but.. I hate the design of them both. : Maybe this site isn’t the one to complain, but I’ve seen whole lot better ones for sure..
Here are some plugins you can install to make your facebook time more comfortable.
Add-on chat emoticons and smileys by Facemoods
Add-on that extends your facebook with animated smileys. It adds a smiley-button into your Facebook chat. When you click it – extended list of emoticons appears. You can then choose an emoticon that you want to send to your friend and submit it. This reminds me of the good-old isq emoticons. =) You can also somehow send smileys via Facebook. I mean post to profiles and stuff like that. Try it out – it’s completely free and still not a malware. =) You can check it online if you don’t belive me. I checked it via VirusTotal and none of, like, 40 antiviruses showed a bad thing about this plugin. So be sure – it’s safe.
- Executable install for Internet Explorer and Firefox. Installs for both at the same time.
- Firefox-only (.xpi) version also available.
Change Facebook layouts with Chameleontom
With this addon you can choose and install layouts for Facebook. And change how some parts of Facebook look.
Chameleon Tom helps you to color your Facebook! If you’ll install this application you will be able to change skins, backgrounds and colors of your Facebook to something really interesting and attractive!
- Internet Explorer.
Firefox script plugins/addons for facebook
A lot of facebook plugins listed below don’t work, but as I suggest that facebook is a crap, I don’t really use facebook a lot, and so I didn’t test all of them. Just the part. And I didn’t research that stuff a lot. So if you’ll find some facebook plugins listed here not working, or if you’ll find some more handy facebook scripts, or addons – e-mail to me (you can find my mail in the bottom of the page), please. And I’ll most likely delete them from the list (in the first case), or post them here (in the second case). Enjoy =)
Installing Facebook script plugins

- Install GreaseMonkey add-on.

- You may need to setup the script. If so, and you are confused – go to step 1.
